this was the basic social component of the Jiivahar race. Each talin contained five to ten families, but membership was not limited to those born into the talin. Any Jiivahar could leave or join any other talin. Talins were semi-nomadic groups, maintaining a permanent residence but only using it when the weather turned cold.
