this New Republic pilot was among those who drew reconnaissance duty during the Yevethan Purge. He was chosen to fly his X-Wing, the Jennie Lee, in a flash pass over N'zoth. The New Republic desparately needed information on the Yevethan defenses, and ordered reconnaissance of the 13 major Yevethan worlds. Taggar managed to gather a large amount of data on the planet before being overtaken by the Yevethan warship Beauty of Yevetha. Rather than be captured or betray the Republic, Rone programmed his X-Wing to self-destruct as it was drawn into the warship's hangar bay. His death, and the destruction of his ship, caused a great deal of damage to the Beauty of Yevetha and allowed the Republic to receive his reconnaissance data.
