Sun Crystal
this unusual gemstone is found only on the planet Jazbina. The crystals are mined in near-total darkness in order to avoid activating the crystals. When they come into contact with light, the crystals absorb it and then shine it back ten-fold in a blinding display. Jazbinans have been known to become addicted to the intense light the crystals shed, and often stare into the planet's sun in an effort to relive the experience. However, this additional light only damages their eyes further. The inly way to cure the addiction is to remain in complete darkness until the urge to look into the light passes.
