these security droids were common among security and law enforcement agencies. Known as scanning patrol droids, they were box-like automata that roll on treads, similar to the MSE-6 droid. The SPD-series also has a number of retractable appendages that it uses to search out security breaches. One of the best-known examples was the Hound-W2.
