this man, a farmer from the planet Nez Peron, married Mirith Sinn. He was elected to speak for the farmers of his nation, in an effort to convince the planetary government to align with the New Republic. When Imperial forces demanded that Jahren provide them with supplies, he refused, and was executed for hindering their efforts.
