Legend

an underground-dwelling creature native to Coruscant, the shadow barnacle was a crustacean that anchored its shell to the foundations of buildings. When the barnacle emerged from its shell, it extended a collection of filaments from its mouth. These filaments were used for breathing. To feed, the barnacle absorbed nutrients through its roots, which were burrowed into the duracrete.
