a system which existed outside the bounds of both the Old Republic and the Empire, the Renatasia System never truly developed a deep-space-faring technology. The system was made up of eight planets surrounding a medium-sized yellow star. The Renatasians, being hardy stock, evolved on Renatasia III and Renatasia IV, and eventually colonized all eight, regardless of the heat or cold environments. The system's inhabitants were happy in their isolation, until Osuno Whett and Vuffi Raa discovered the system. The Renatasians declared that Vuffi Raa was some form of god or deity, and immediately trusted him and Whett. Whett used this trust to his advantage, and planned to take control of the system and all of its resources for himself. When Whett reported the location of the system, the Imperial Navy stepped in and took over the system, killing nearly two-thirds of the Renatasians before declaring the system Imperialized. The victory was not without its costs, as the Renatasians fought back with everything they had. Ultimately, nearly three-quarters of the Imperial troops sent into battle on the eight worlds in the system were killed. At the height of the subjugation, new troopships were arriving hourly to replace those soldiers who were being killed in battle. Osuna Whett and Vuffi Raa escaped with the Imperials, but the surviving Renatasians believed that Vuffi Raa - the being who they had once deemed a godsend - was the cause of their destruction. Led by Klyn Shanga, a group of Renatasian vigilantes hunted down Vuffi Raa and Lando Calrissian, with the aid of Rokur Gepta. However, after encountering Osuna Whett again, Shanga realized that the college professor was the true mastermind behind the attack on Renatasia. He stopped the hunt for Vuffi Raa, and his men eventually succeeded in killing Whett, in an act of revenge.
