this Imperial Naval officer was trained at Carida, and received high honors at his graduation. He was placed as Darth Vader's aide on the Devastator, where he was in charge of recovering the plans to the first Death Star from the Tantive IV. He notified Vader of the lifeless escape pod used by R2-D2 and C-3PO, and sent a detachment of stormtroopers to Tatooine to recover it.
