this device regulates the power output from a repulsorlift engine. Many such engines have surges throughout their operation, which causes abrupt increases in speed. This is not a desired event, especially on swoops and speeder bikes. The power dispersion unit creates an even power pattern, which in turn keeps the vehicle at a constant rate of acceleration.
