this Alliance Lieutenant was dishonorably discharged from active duty because of gross insubordination. Tagg himself claimed that he simply grew tired of fighting for the Alliance and struck out on his own. Eventually, he formed the Laramus Base Irregulars from a nucleus of anti-Imperial soldiers. He was known for his lack of regard for his line officers.
