this was the foremost natural garden found on the planet Garqi, and it was located near Garqi Agricultural University. Known to the Garqians as simply The Garden, this facility was famous throughout the galaxy for its collection of exotic plantlife. It was honored as one of the only botanical gardens to have been given bafforr trees by the Ithorians. The grove of bafforr trees stood opposite a grove of greel trees, forming the endpoints of The Garden. In between these groves were stands of namana trees, senoti trees, and even a wisdom tree from Selab. It was on Garqi that Corran Horn and Jacen Solo discovered that the pollen of the bafforr tree was deadly to the Yuuzhan Vong's vonduun crab armor here, after retreating to the gardens during an attack. The Ithorians had believed that the natives of Garqi held to the same basic beliefs of nature as they did, and allowed the bafforr to be transplanted on Garqi. Horn decided that this discovery needed to be kept from the Yuuzhan Vong, and had this teams burn down the sections of the garden containing bafforr trees. Unfortunately, Shedao Shai eventually figured out why the gardens were burned. In retaliation, Deign Lian ordered the destruction of the planet Ithor.
