this lupine humanoid was a native of Vorzyd 5, and supported the Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. He was captured by Blackhole, along with Paxin, Luke Skywalker, and Leia Organa. When they attempted to escape, Palud was killed by Imperial forces. His son, Choyd, held Luke and Leia responsible for his father's death.
