this planet was the site of a series of Galactic Civil War battles. The first was a victory by a squadron of Y-Wings against the uninspired Imperial forces of the 233rd Imperial Fighter Wing, while the second was a decisive victory by the 181st Imperial Fighter Group against the same Y-Wings. The second battle was a hollow victory for the Empire, since it took place on the same day as the Battle of Yavin.
