this wing of Imperial TIE Fighters was specially modified to fly in atmospheres, and had special high-output solar panels to boost weapons strength. The pilots of Obsidian Squadron were also specially trained. These pilots were assigned to the this garrison on Cloud City. During the construction of the second Death Star near Endor, Obsidian Squadron was called in to help defend the space station during its construction.
