Nysshyyyk
this Wookiee clan lived on Kashyyyk until it was decimated by Imperial forces which raided the planet for slaves. Most of the clan's members were sent to work at the Maw Installation, under the sadistic eye of Grodon Lakky. Eight Nysshyyyk Wookiees were killed by Lakky's unrelenting use of a power-lash within the first month, for sabotaging their work. Four others committed suicide rather than submit to Lakky's anger. Fifty more died from exhaustion during the construction of the Death Star prototype.
