New Republic Claims Office
this branch of the New Republic's government was responsible for ensuring that planets and resources scouted out by independent scouts are not usurped or "jumped" by another scout, as well as paying for the rights to use the newly-found location. Proper registration of the discovered resource must be made by the independent scout in order to receive any form of payments or protection.
