this man was an Imperial sub-prefect during the rise to power of Emperor Palpatine's clones on Byss. An administrator of the Governor's office on Korbin, Neris succeeded Bergless as the sub-prefect, but was no less adamant about eliminating crime. Like Bergless, this cost Neris his life, when he told Gornt Seron that crime wasn't going to be tolerated by the Imperial remnant on the planet. Seron promptly pushed Neris out a small trap door in the floor of his office, and Neris fell some 500 meters to his death.
