this first-cousin, once removed, of Lorth Needa served the Empire on Coruscant as an orbital mirror commander, during the period following the Battle of Endor. He was in control of mirror OSETS 2771, which was reprogrammed by Winter to evaporate one of the planet's major resevoirs, in hopes of creating a huge electrical strom to short out the planet's shield generators. Virar was powerless to stop them. Note that The Krytos Trap indicates Virar was in commanf of OSETS 1127.
