this Imperial research team was working on the planet Aaris III during the early years of the New Republic, trying to unlock the secrets of the ancient Aaris civilization. They had discovered the Aaris Artifact in the Place of Kastays, and was trying to discern its operations when the primtive Aaris began attacking them. Their SOS calls were answered by the crew of the FarStar.
