Metal-crystal Phase Shifter
MCPS for short, this device alters the structure of a material and allows manipulation of the material at a molecular level. It was designed to penetrate a starship's protective shields and alter the metallic structure of the hull, turning it to powder. The MCPS was developed at the Maw Installation, but was never implemented, as the prototype was destroyed when the New Republic attacked the Installation, and all technical records were lost in the battle.
