this unusual creature was a common pest native to Balmorra. Little more than a pair of long, double-jointed legs connected to a ravenous mouth, metal parasites fed on exposed metals. They favored factories and buildings, where heavy metals were readily available. An infestation of metal parasites could seriously undermine the structural integrity of a structure in a few days.
