MEMD-2
this series of multi-environment mining droids was produced by Industrial Automaton during the New Order. These huge machines measured twenty meters in length and stood eight meters tall. MEMD-2 droids moved about on a pair of heavy-duty treads, which allowed them to navigate virtually any solid terrain. These automata were usually deployed in large groups, making quick work of the extraction and recovery of ores and metals in remote locations. MEMD-2 droids were equipped with a pair of beam drills and a cutting laser to remove unwanted rubble, and they had four heavy lifting arms to gather in their finds.
