this moss, found on the planet Phelarion, was a heat-sensitive species that was harvested for the Empire by Lady Tarkin. The moss had intense explosive properties when heated, and could be manipulated into detonation devices. It had to be harvested by workers with special boots and gloves that kept the megonite cold. Storage and transportation facilities required refrigeration equipment.
