native to the planet Lur, these creatures adapted over the generations to Lur's harsh, wintery climate. They were small bipedal herbivores covered in thick white fur. The bottoms of their feet were covered in a thick, calloused pad, enabling them to travel on ice and snow. Their large green-blue eyes were adapted to seeing in the snowy wastes. They had a very advanced technology, and by the time of the New Order, they had developed some sophisiticated genetic manipulation techniques. This was the reason that slavers often tried to obtain Lurians, hoping to sell them for use in illegal biomolecular operations. It was rumored that they could bring almost 6,000 credits apiece on the Invisible Market, after tight restrictions on cloning were established in the wake of the Clone Wars.
