native to the planet Ganlihk, this creature has been trapped and sold as pets for many years. They possess a trilling form of communication which has been said to be soothing to humans and humanoids, and they are naturally bioluminescent. These two traits made it a desireable companion. In the wild, a ludos will feed on fish and fruit in the morning before climbing into the treetops to bask in the sun. These small creatures average about 50 centimeters in diameter, and resemble knobby balls with several thick tentacles studded with suckers. They were known as "backpack companions" to travelers and hikers on Ganlihk, since they enjoyed the companionship of other beings, and their bioluminescense provided the travelers with a way to stay in sight of one another.
