this minor crimelord rose to power on the planet Andasala. He started his career as a local con artist who succeeded in a series of scams against the Empire and, later, the New Republic. His success earned him a loyal following on Andasala, a planet whose natives had little use for either government. When the Imperial governot of the planet died, Lorn assumed control of the planet by using his underworld connections to establish a base of power. He contracted with the Mantis Syndicate to keep the peace through the employment of mercenary forces, and invited the Hutts to use the planet in exchange for monetary repayment. He developed a loyal following among the youth of the planet, and continued to grow in power and support during the early years of the New Republic.
