Kinn-taas
this was the Jiivahar name for the seasonal gathering which involved great feasts. The Kinn-taas was held to redistribute foodstuffs to needy talins of Jiivahar. Every Jiivahar was compelled by social obligation to give up as much of their possessions as they could afford, donating it to the leader of the talin in preparation for the feast. The leaders then distribute the bounty to all Jiivahar based on individual need.
