this near-human race was native to the planet Kiffex. Individuals tattooed their faces with the family colors of their clan, allowing each member of society to understand an individual's heritage. Note that Star Wars: Darkness and the official Star Wars website indicate that Kiffex itself was a prison planet, and that the beings native to its sister world, Kiffu, are referred to as Kiffar.
