Kathol Republic
this collection of ten star systems found in the Kathol Outback was created by a group of renegade politicians who saw that the Old Republic was crumbling and chose to set up their own government. They settled on fourteen worlds, twelve of which required some terraforming in order to be habitable. In order to ensure that all members worlds would be adequately defended in case of attack, all member worlds maintain a mutual defense pact. The seat of the Republic's government is located on the moon Dayark. Each member planet of the Republic elects eleven senators to represent them in the Republic's government, regardless of the individual populations. One senator from each planet is nominated for the position of president of the Republic, and this position is then voted on by all the worlds.
