this Imperial Colonel, known as the Rancor, was in charge of a Hell's Hammers unit stationed in the Outer Rim Territories during the Galactic Civil War. He is a masterful tactician, and is wholly devoted to his troops. He was able to persuade the Imperial command that the Hammers worked better at full regimental strength, and he played a pivotal role in the recruiting of new Hammers. Johans was also instrumental in the development of the repulsortank, as well as the development of Imperial doctrine regarding the use of repulsortanks. In the wake of the Battle of Endor, Colonel Johans went into hiding on the planet Brintooin, where he established a base of power for himself in an effort to build himself a small empire. Many historian believed he had aspirations of inheriting command of the Imperial Remnant.
