Ysanna, Jem
this Ysanna girl was the daughter of Okko. Jem was met by Luke Skywalker and Kam Solusar when they arrived on Ossus, during the early years of the New Republic. Jem was in the midst of a ritual with her brother, Rayf, in which they were tied to the tree-like form of the ancient Jedi Master Ood Bnar. She was 23 years old when Luke first met her. Like all other Ysanna, Jem was strong with the Force, and chose to leave Ossus and become one of Luke's first students. She also became one of Luke's brief loves, until they were attacked on New Alderaan by Tedryn-sha and Krdys Mordi. Jem killed Mordi with her lightsaber in an effort to protect Luke, but was herself killed by Tedryn-sha. Luke was surprised to see her body dissapear as her spirit became one wit the Force.
