this young man was a student of the Force, but was learning how to control it without the help of a Jedi Knight or Master. He discovered his talents shortly before the Battle of Yavin, and joined the Alliance in an effort to locate a teacher. He was assigned to the Alliance's Edan Base when it was attacked by the Imperial Star Destroyer Havoc.
