this criminal syndicate was originally sponsored by House Mecetti, and was the primary contractor for most of Mecetti's dirty work. The Jalk Syndicate was originally formed many centuries before the New Order, after the apparent fall of the Mecrosa Order. The Syndicate was one of the only House-sponsored gangs to survive the Imperial occupation of Tapani Sector. The Mecetti leaders ordered the Syndicate's leader, Boss Tosk, to shut down operations in an effort to win favor with Emperor Palpatine. Tosk knew better than to cross Mecetti, and agreed to put a halt to its actions. However, Boss Tosk had no plans to given up the Syndicate, and maintained its membership while negotiating a deal to keep the Syndicate operating with sponsorship from House Barnaba. It was best known for its assasins, all of which were droids.
