found near some lava pits on the planet Aridus, this edifice was destroyed when the false Ben Kenobi - planted by Darth Vader in hopes of luring Luke Skywalker to the planet - tried to distract the Dark Lord and allow Luke to escape. The false Kenobi reduced the Tower to rubble, capturing Vader in the collapse and giving Luke time to flee Aridus.
