Iri
this planet, located in the Epidimi System, was discovered some 5,000 years before the fall of the Old Republic. Republic scientists discovered that the avian lifeforms living on Iri were genetically similar to those living on nearby Disim. They attempted to breed the unique species, in hopes of creating a new form of life. The experiment was a success, but the resulting species - known as the Tarong - was much more intelligent and eventually overran the two parent species. The original species no longer exist in the Epidimi System.
