IR-3F
this was a model of systems patrol craft produced by Sienar Fleet Systems, and was the forerunner of the IPV-1 patrol vessel. At 110 meters in length, and armed with four turret-mounted turbolaser cannons, the IR-3F was capable of taking on capital-sized targets. It was most often used as a blockade ship, with several other similar vessels forming a line. It had to be based in the system it patrolled, however, since the basic design lacked a hyperdrive. The IR-3F required a crew of 3, with 8 gunners and up to 10 troops. It could transport up to 180 metric tons of cargo and had a three-month supply of consumables. Despite the benefits of its impressive power-to-mass ratio, the small crew tended to wear down quickly trying to maintain the ship on long patrols.
