Inner Rim Territories
the section of the galaxy once considered the furthest reaches of expansion, it was once known simply as The Rim during much of the Old Republic's early millennia. However, as hyperspace explorers began venturing beyond this area, it was renamed the Inner Rim. When the Empire began taking more and more resources from the Inner Rim worlds, many of its inhabitants left the Inner Rim and moved out into the Outer Rim.
