this was the name given to the area located between the planet of Kuat and the three main spaceports which served it: the Kuat Passenger Port, the Kuat Freight Port, and the Imperial Transfer Post. Civilian starships were not allowed within this Zone, as non-qualified ships were forbidden to travel directly to Kuat.
