Independent Company of Settlers
this was the official name used by the group of 3,000 former Imperial supporters who wanted to live in peace after the Battle of Endor. Led by former Admiral Daala, the group maintained a fleet of ships which transported it from world to world, hoping to find a planet on which they could remain loyal to the New Order while separated from the New Republic. Many of the members were formal Navy officers who grew tired of the political posturing of individuals, corporations, and worlds. They entered into an agreement with the Pedducian Warlord K'iin to live on 1.5 billion acres of land on Pedducis Chorios. They were forced to defend their planet when the New Republic entered the Chorios Systems to secure the sector after the spread of the Death Seed plague.
