Imperial Remnant
this was the name adopted by the surviving members of the Empire, after a peace was negotiated with the New Republic. The Remnant remained apart from the Republic, controlling a section of the Outer Rim centered on Bastion. At its creation, the Imperial Remnant contained just eight backwater sectors of the galaxy, a mere shadow of the former Empire. With Gilad Pellaeon's guidance, the Remnant was able to expand its borders over time.
