IG97
this was the designation of a series of battle droids produced by the Empire during the early years of the New Order. Similar in many respects to the battle droids of the Trade Federation, the IG97 series was transported in a fetal position, although it was capable of independent action. The head of the IG97 was more human in shape, but the basic body structure was the same as the Federation droid. The IG97 was never mass-produced, as the Empire decided they were too weak to perform actual combat missions.
