this area of the galaxy is believed to have been the site of a hidden Imperial research facility. Known as To-phalion Base, the Imperials were trying to develop a cloaking device under the codename Vorknkx. Admiral Zaarin managed to infiltrate the system and steal a CR90 corvette equipped with a working cloaking device. However, the Vorknkx team had not yet figured out how to make the device stable while travelling through hyperspace. Zaarin fled into hyperspace, but the cloaking device malfunctioned as the ship made the jump. The corvette and its crew, including Zaarin, were destroyed.
