Hyperdrive Motivator
the starship component which is responsible for building up the energies necessary to propel a ship into hyperspace. The hyperdrive motivator creates an electromagnetic field around a starship, and then projects that field into hyperspace. Once in hyperspace, the hyperdrive motivator employs trilithium crystals to propel the ship through the continuum. When the ship's destination is reached, the hyperdrive motivator projects the ship's field back into realspace and cuts the trilithium drive.
