Hume
this member of the Alliance was captured, along with Leia Organa, by Darth Vader shortly after the Battle of Yavin. They were being transported aboard Vader's Star Destroyer and managed to escape. They fled in Hume's ship, but were pursued by Vader. A TIE Fighter damaged the ship, and Hume was forced to knock Leia unconscious in order to load her into a gossamer glider. He ejected the escape craft over Phelarion just as the Imperials destroyed his ship. Hume died in the explosion.
