this gruff Rodian served as one of Guldus Bemm's henchmen, and was one of his majordomos within the Canyon Mining Facility heirarchy. When Bemm contacted Luke Skywalker with a false story about strange crystals found in several caverns, the pirates hoped to capture Skywalker and turn him over to Advisor Bregius Golthan, thereby ensuring the colony's survival. Horvat led a group of New Republic operatives to the site for further investigation. What they discovered was a double-cross, and the cavern was actually filled with Imperial AT-STs.
