Hathrox III
this planet was the site of a biochemical civil war some 1,200 years before the Battle of Endor. One of the armies had unleashed a plague as a "secret weapon," one which was a "fool-proof" antivirus. All the group managed to do was wipe out the entire population of the planet. During the new Republic, Hathrox III was still listed as a "standing hazard." The history of the planet was discovered by a scouting team which discovered records of civilization, but failed to live long enough to read them. Neither did the rescue crew that assisted them, nor the quarantine staff which tried to save them.
