this Imperial agent worked on Garos IV as an undercover Alliance supporter. The son of an influential political family, Dair grew up believing in the Empire and the tenets of the New Order. He dreamed of attending the Raithal Academy with his friend, Jos Mayda, although Jos' social position meant that he had a harder time getting into the Academy. As a young child, Dair was orphaned when his parents, West and Nieka, were killed during the Whahalla Massacre. Dair was raised by his grandmother, Keriin, and found a sympathetic ear in Tork Winger, who became something of an uncle to him. He and Jos remained good friends until the Empire stationed the Judicator in orbit around Garos IV. During a trip back to the caves on Mount Usca, they ran into an Imperial patrol. The scout troopers accused them of being rebel spies, and shot Jos dead before Dair could shoot the troopers. The death of Jos hardened Dair's resolve to help the rebels, and Dair took every opportunity to help the underground while serving as an Imperial officer.
