this being was the Captain of the Star of Empire shortly after the Battle of Yavin. He was less than happy when he was told that the Star of Empire would be the first ship outfitted with the Systems Integration Manager,and even less happy about Malik's assignment to install it. When the ship suddenly experienced an engine reactor breach, Hajj and his crewmen assisted the passengers to the escape pods. They were on the ship as the computer suddenly declared the emergency under control, and they met up with Dash Rendar and Zak and Tash Arranda. They attempted to make their way to the communications room, but several of the crewmen died in various attacks along the way. They decided to crawl through cable pipes to get to the communications room, but Hajj was attacked by a multitude of crab-like maintenance droids. In trying to defend himself against their attack, he let go of his grip and plunged to his death at the bottom of the cable pipe.
