GY-I Intelligence Droid
developed by Cybot Galactica, this information analysis droid was produced to replace the aging GA-series. Featuring upgraded software and expanded memory capacity, the GY-I series was designed for military usage. These droids were humanoid and short in stature, measuring just a meter in height. Depending on their programming, much of which was produced by Arakyd, the GY-I series could act as tactical analysts, astrogators and hyperspace jump coordinators, or decyphering and decryption. These droids were capable of processing some 500,000 information packets per second.
