To hold one in the palm of your unprotected hand for thirty second means that enough deadly radioactive emissions have seeped into your body to kill you. Prince Xizor was fond of green diamonds, but only for those woman he had finished with. If one of these woman remained in love with the Prince after he had ended their relationship, Xizor would dispatch a messenger to deliver the beautiful stone. The woman would surely die, as would the messenger, when she took the stone out of its case. Xizor would then send a protected agent to recover it.
